Dining

Phil and Karen took over the pub in late 2007 having previously owned the successful Michelin rated Green Room restaurant in Hexham.

Following with their commitment to use as many locally sourced ingredients as possible, from a strong network of local suppliers and creating dishes with flavours capturing regional and classic British cooking, in line with the seasons.

The menu is chalked on a board, with dishes changing daily depending on what’s available, a separate bar menu offers lighter snacks and delicious sandwiches.

Choose from three separate dining areas; the cosy lounge bar with crackling log fire, the small conservatory which offers the best views (and can be booked for private parties of up to 15), or for those preferring a more restaurant atmosphere the refurbished dining room is available.
