Allergies and dietary requirements

We are pleased to cater to any specific dietary requirement, however giving us prior notice will help us to meet your requirements. Ideally at the time of booking and in advance of your visit.

Much of our menu is gluten free, but as with any medical condition, please make staff aware at the time you place your order.

We are in the heart of rural Northumberland therefore specialise in meat and game dishes, we have a short daily changing menu of around 8 to 9 main courses including one vegetarian main course option as a matter of course, which may or may not be vegan.

If you would like a vegan menu please inform us in advance and we will be happy to provide a three course menu at a cost of £35.

We can advise ingredients in our dishes but we do handle and prepare nuts in our kitchen therefore cannot guarantee no cross contamination.

Please note game dishes may contain shot.

Bookings

Due to the constantly changing nature of booking availability, we can only accept bookings/cancellations by telephone or online via RESDIARY. Please note we cannot accept reservations or cancellations via email

We require credit.debit card details for parties of six or more and for all weekend reservations ie Fridays,Saturdays and Sundays.

Please note in the event of a ‘no show’ your card will be charged at the rate of £20 per person.

You may amend or cancel your booking any time up to 24 hours prior to your booking time.Please note cancellations maybe be made via your booking confirmation email or by calling us at the pub.All payments are handled by a third party booking gateway to guarantee your protection.Please read the terms and conditions for the payment gateway chosen for the transaction.

Tables in excess of 6 persons will be asked to confirm final numbers 24 hours prior to the booking, any cancellation within 24 hours will be charged our standard cancellation fee £20 per person.

 

If you book for lunch or dinner the table will be available to you for that service, unless all we can offer is a table with a prior booking. If this is the case we will inform you at the time of booking what time the table is available until.

The exception to this is SUNDAY LUNCH service, when we will allocate you a table for a 1.5 hour time slot depending on the size of your party. If you would like your table for longer please let us know in advance and we will do our utmost to accommodate.
